Daily (14.05.2021): Carbon prices retreated by 1.5% on Thursday amid profit-taking as well as weak gas prices

Oil prices slumped on Thursday, retreating from 2-month highs amid deepening India’s coronavirus crisis and the resumption of a key U.S. fuel pipeline. Hence, Brent crude dropped by 3.3% to settle at $67.05 a barrel. Meanwhile, U.S. WTI crude shed by 3.4% to $63.82 a barrel.

Daily (13.05.2021): Carbon EUAs climbed by more than 4% on Wednesday, on strong auction results and investor interest

Oil prices increased on Wednesday, as crude inventories in the United States diminished slightly. Meanwhile, the tense situation at some American gas stations, after the shutdown of a major pipeline, lent additional support to prices. Hence, Brent oil was 1.1% up at $69.32 a barrel and WTI crude ended 1.2% higher at $66.08 a barrel.
