Eni to acquire stakes in Ukraine’s Cadogan Petroleum

Cadogan Petroleum, an oil and gas company operating in Ukraine announced yesterday that it has inked with the major Italian energy firm Eni a strategic agreement for the acquisition of an interest in the company's Pokrovskoe and Zagoryanska licenses in the east of Ukraine, both licenses being located in the Dniepr-Donetz basin.

ExxonMobil restores Japanese Shiogama Terminal

ExxonMobil Japan Group declared on Wednesday that it had reopened its Shiogama terminal, affected by the recent earthquake and tsunami, moreover the company restored operations of its four Japan refineries, working above normal rates allowing thus the delivery of more fuel supplies into the Tohoku area of northeastern Japan.

Ukraine’s Naftogaz sealed a deal with Egyptian authorities upon oil fields.

Egypt's Prime Minister, Ahmed Mohamed Nazif, was cited by a Ukrainian press agency announcing that the Ukrainian company, Naftogaz Ukrainy, received the green light for the exploration and extraction of oil in Western Sahara.
