Oil prices edged slightly higher on Wednesday as investors continued to assess the market's bleak fundamentals against a backdrop of escalating geopolitical tensions. As a result, Brent crude rose by 0.3%, settling at $85.25 a barrel. At the same time, WTI crude edged 0.2% up at around $81 a barrel.

As a result, Brent crude increased by 1%, settling slightly above $86 a barrel, while WTI crude gained over 1% to end at $81.63.
