Germany produced record 35% of electricity from green energy in the 1st half of 2017

Germany’s electricity from renewable sources accounted for 35 percent in the first half of 2017, or an increase of 6% compared with the same period last year, according to the BEE renewable energy association.

French electricity demand boosted in May 2017 by public transport sector

On Monday, French grid network operator RTE announced in a monthly report about a 0.9% increase in electricity consumption in May, compared with the same period a year ago. The main factors were growing power consumption in the public transport sector and high cooling demand because of warmer weather.
