On Thursday, oil prices rose despite an increase in US crude inventories, driven by geopolitical risks in the Middle East. As a result, Brent crude climbed by 1.3%, closing at $86.39 a barrel. Similarly, WTI crude rose by 1% up at $81.74 a barrel.

Daily (27.06.2024): Gas prices dropped on Wednesday, weighed by ample supply
Oil prices edged slightly higher on Wednesday as investors continued to assess the market's bleak fundamentals against a backdrop of escalating geopolitical tensions. As a result, Brent crude rose by 0.3%, settling at $85.25 a barrel. At the same time, WTI crude edged 0.2% up at around $81 a barrel.

German gas caverns not far off winter targets at 79% full
Germany's natural gas caverns, at just over 79% capacity, are not far off legally-required filling levels for the coming 2024/25 winter, an industry executive said.

Oil price fell on Tuesday as bearish market fundamentals put pressure on prices. Brent crude decreased by over 1% to $85.01 a barrel and WTI crude fell by 1 % $80.83 per barrel, despite rising geopolitical tensions.

Finland's Gasum to end Russian LNG imports in line with EU sanctions
Finland's Gasum, a key gas supplier to the Nordic region, will stop buying and importing Russian liquefied natural gas (LNG) in July in line with fresh European Union sanctions, the company said on Tuesday.
