Gazprom and Wintershall have signed an agreement regarding the asset swap between the two companies. The world’s largest gas producer acquired 50% shares in UK and Dutch gas fields operated by Wintershall, as part of a Master Agreement to exchange assets with the German firm.

Danish wind group Vestas secures service contract extension with ScottishPower Renewables

Vestas, the world leader in wind energy, has secured a two-year service agreement contract from ScottishPower Renewables for five wind power plants in Scotland. The plants would have a total capacity of 120MW and 162 of Vestas’s V47 and V52 wind turbines. The two-year contract extension includes an option for a third year.

Eni and Rosneft signed agreements on oil supplies to Europe

Russia's Rosneft, the world's top listed oil producer, and Italy’s Eni have signed an agreement regarding oil supplies to European refineries. The new strategic accord was signed amid increased cooperation and growing trades between Russia and Italy. Under the terms of the deal, Rosneft would furnish something like 1 million tonnes of oil to Eni's refineries, while Eni would supply 400,000 tonnes.

Iran oil insurance sanctions may soon be eased
