German Vario completed 6.2 MW in the Slovak Republic

The German Vario green energy group ended the construction of six solar parks with a total power capacity of 6.2 MW. These are located in the Slovak regions Poltár, Biskupice and Rumince. The photovoltaic solar parks consist of 70,000 solar modules that will soon feed in 7 million kWh of electricity into the local grid, while the plant operators will get a remuneration of 38.23 Eurocents.

Statoil makes new discovery near Oseberg

Norway’s Statoil ASA has discovered oil and condensate in the North Sea’s Krafla West prospect. Located around 26 kilometers south-west of the producing Oseberg South find, the discovery well encountered hydrocarbons in two columns with a total thickness of 300 meters.

Three partners to invest €1 billion in Dunkirk LNG Terminal

The French energy giant EDF has announced that, alongside two partners-the French major Total and Fluxys of Belgium it has decided to invest in a €1billion ($1.44billion) project to develop a new liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal in northern France, at Dunkirk.

Bosch to invest 520 million euros in a solar project in Malaysia

A worldwide known service provider, Bosch Group, aims to extend its photovoltaic business by building a major manufacturing site near Penang, in the Batu Kawan region of Malaysia. The total amount of the investment is 520 million euros, while the project construction is planned to be started this year and completed by the end of 2014.
