Oil crude prices continued to rise on Tuesday, on concerns over the global oil supplies as U.S. sanctions imposed on Iranian exports have been revived. Brent crude added 1.2% to close at $74.65 a barrel. Meanwhile, WTI crude edged 0.2% higher at $69.17 a barrel.

Daily (31.07.2018): German electricity spot price soared by over 20% on Monday, due to higher air conditioning usage
Oil prices soared on Monday, on concerns about supply disruptions, as U.S. sanctions on Iran could affect crude production. Brent crude rose 0.9% to $74.97 a barrel. WTI crude jumped at $70.13 a barrel, closing about 2.1% higher.

Nuclear still UK’s main low-carbon power source
Official statistics confirm nuclear as the largest source of low-carbon electricity in the UK, contributing 20.8% of all electricity generated last year, which was broadly stable on 2016 when it accounted for 21.1%.

Total strengthens electricity generation with two French gas plants
French multinational integrated oil and gas company Total has signed an agreement with KKR-Energas to acquire two gas-fired combined cycle power plants in the northern and eastern regions of France.
