Meanwhile, Brent April crude climbed 34 cents, or 0.30 percent, to settle at $114.44 a barrel, having traded from $113.73 and $115.87.

Brent crude oil futures increased on Friday, hitting a nine-month high during session on optimistic Chinese economic and oil import data, registering a 1.8 percent gain for the week. Meanwhile, Brent March crude boosted $1.66, or 1.42 percent, to settle at $118.90 a barrel, having traded from $117.31 to $119.17.
