Daily: UK gas prices climb on colder weather, undersupplied system

Brent crude oil futures increased on Monday, backed by data indicating a high demand for imported crude in China in January, but uncertainty about Italy’s election capped oil from its early peak. Daily: Coal prices increase on Colombian miners’ strike

Brent crude oil futures increased on Friday, hitting a nine-month high during session on optimistic Chinese economic and oil import data, registering a 1.8 percent gain for the week. Meanwhile, Brent March crude boosted $1.66, or 1.42 percent, to settle at $118.90 a barrel, having traded from $117.31 to $119.17.
