Daily (14.03.2019): Electricity prices on the curve slumped by around 3% on Wednesday due to weaker coal and carbon markets

Oil prices rose on Wednesday following a strong decline in U.S. inventories and due to sanctions that stalled exports from Venezuela. Brent crude added $0.88, or 1.3%, to close at $67.55 a barrel. WTI futures settled 2.4% higher at $58.26 a barrel.

Bulgaria invites investment in Belene project

Bulgaria's National Electricity Company (NEK) yesterday announced a call for selection of a strategic investor for the construction of Belene nuclear power plant on the Danube River near the Romanian border. The call also allows for expressions of interest to acquire a minority shareholding in the future project, as well as and/or to purchase electricity from the future power plant.
