Norway eyes high gas output until 2030
Norway plans to maintain its current high gas production level until the end of the decade as Europe plans to ditch Russian imports over Moscow's invasion of Ukraine, its energy minister said on Tuesday.

Daily (18.08.2022): European carbon market soared to six-month high on Wednesday amid limited auction supply and rallying related markets
Crude oil prices rebounded on Wednesday as concerns over rising Russian output and exports as well as recession fears were outweighed by a steeper-than-expected drawdown in U.S. crude stocks. Hence, Brent crude rose by $1.31, or 1.4%, to settle at $93.65 per barrel. U.S. WTI crude increased by $1.58, or 1.8%, to close at $88.11 per barrel.

Oil prices fell on Wednesday as OPEC+ countries agreed to raise their September oil output targets by 100,000 barrels per day. As such, Brent crude oil price settled 3.8% lower at $96.78, while WTI crude fell by around 4% to $90.66 per barrel.

EDF warns of up to 3.8 GW cuts on cooling issues
French utility EDF warned on Wednesday of potential output cuts of up to 3.8 GW at its nuclear power plants Tricastin, St Alban and Golfech due to high temperatures in the Rhone and Garonne rivers.
