Crude oil prices fell sharply on Monday as sluggish manufacturing data in several countries weighed on the demand outlook. Hence, Brent crude dropped by 9.1%, to settle at $100.03 a barrel, while WTI crude decreased by 4.8% to $93.89 per barrel.

Spain to launch 3.3 GW green tender in November

bp to invest up to £50 million in new global battery research and development centre in Britain
bp today unveiled plans to invest up to £50 million (around $60 million) in a new, state-of-the-art electric vehicle (EV) battery testing centre and analytical laboratory in the UK. bp has previously announced its intention to invest up to £18 billion in the UK’s energy system by the end of 2030; this additional new investment is a further example of bp’s commitment to the country.

Russia's Gazprom stops gas supplies to Latvia
Russian gas producer Gazprom said on Saturday it had stopped sending gas to Latvia after accusing it of violating supply conditions, a move the Baltic country said would have little impact on its gas supplies.
