British energy regulator Ofgem has approved a 2 billion pounds ($2.5 billion) funding package to build nearly 200 kilometres (124 miles) of new subsea and underground cables linking Scotland to the north-east of England, it said on Friday.

Daily (14.11.2024): Oil prices recovered on Wednesday as U.S. price index supported expectations of continued monetary easing
Oil prices rebounded on Wednesday, buoyed by a U.S. price index that did not challenge the assumption of ongoing monetary easing, which continues to support demand for crude oil. Brent crude closed at $72.72 per barrel, while WTI crude ended the day at $68.43 per barrel, both gaining around 0.5%.
