Oil prices dropped on Wednesday, weighed down by a surprise rise in US stockpiles, as investor focus shifted back to supply and demand dynamics following the intensifying tensions between Ukraine and Russia. Brent crude closed at $72.81 per barrel falling by 0.7%, while WTI crude ended the day at $68.75 per barrel, down by nearly 1% day-on-day.
