Greece cuts back energy bill subsidies citing fall in gas prices
Greece has reduced the subsidies extended to consumers grappling with high energy costs to 95 million euros ($102.9 million) in February from 840 million euros in January, the energy minister said on Tuesday, citing a fall in gas prices.

Spain off target for wind additions by 2030
New wind additions in 2022 failed to keep pace with the 2.2 GW/yr required to ensure that Spain remains on track to meet its 2030 legislated target of just above 50GW, according to AEE. The lobby group stressed that this delay was partly because "the speed of administrative processing has not been sufficient". Installed wind capacity reached 29.73GW in 2022, up by 1.13GW from 28.60GW in 2021, according to provisional power grid operator REE data.

Daily (01.02.2023): British near-term gas prices turned bullish on Tuesday amid returning cold spell
Oil prices had a mixed trend on Tuesday amid the possibility of additional interest rate increase. Consequently, Brent crude slipped by 0.4% to 84.49 a barrel, while WTI oil rose by 1.2% to $78.87 a barrel amid higher U.S. demand, weaker dollar.
