Tricastin 1 cleared for ten more years
Unit 1 of the Tricastin nuclear power plant in southern France can operate for a further ten years, the country's nuclear safety regulator, the Autorité de Sûreté Nucléaire (ASN), has decided. It becomes the first French power reactor licensed to operate beyond 40 years.

The focus shifted to China's struggles in achieving post-pandemic economic recovery, outweighing the impact of the tightening global oil supply. As a result, Brent crude fell by 0.7% to $86.21 a barrel, while WTI crude dropped by 0.8% to settle at $82.51 a barrel.
