Norway's Statoil decreased its 2010 oil and gas production target on Wednesday, after heavy maintenance work in the third quarter that affected its earnings and casted doubt on its plans to increase the output to 14% by 2012.

Oil increased to a six-month high above $84 per barrel on Wednesday, after U.S. fuel inventories dropped. At 10:00 GMT, U.S. crude for December increased at $84.47per barrel, while ICE Brent climbed to $85.96 per barrel.

Gazprom increases daily gas production by 22%.
Oil production in Russia, hit a new record. Russia's oil production increased to 10.26 million barrels per day in October, beating the high of 10.16 million barrels per day in September.

Oil was up on Tuesday, due to an expected decision by the Federal Reserve to pump more money into the U.S. economy. At 10:34 GMT, U.S. crude for December increased at $83.31 per barrel, adding 2% percent, comparing previous session. ICE Brent climbed 17 cents to $84.79 per barrel.

Angola seeks greater oil output quota as India looks into additional crude imports
As declared by Angolan Oil Minister, Jose Botelho de Vasconcelos, the country wants OPEC to grant them a bigger output quota as India shows interest in additional crude imports.
