The Oxford Institute for Energy Studies in collaboration with the SBC Energy Institute has published a study on unconventional gas in Europe. The study "Can unconventional gas be a game changer in European gas markets?” concludes that unconventional gas development will not be a game changer for European gas markets overall. However, it could have a significant impact in individual countries, although probably not in this decade.

Gazprom and Eni have extended their 2006 strategic agreement, which would have expired on December 2010, until 2012. The agreement targets the boost of industrial and commercial operations in Russia and third countries.

Foster Wheeler AG has won the contract with Kuwait Petroleum International Lubrificants for its outstanding contribution in providing engineering services for a brown field lube oil blending plant. The plant was built in Antwerp, Belgium with the support of Kuwait Petroleum.
