Repsol - new good quality oil discovery in Brazil
Repsol Sinopec Brazil, together with Petrobras and BG Group have made a new oil discovery, Abarè well, in the Carioca area situated in block BM –S-9. First tests have encountered in the carbonate reservoirs, at a depth of 4,830 meters, the presence of good quality oil with a gravity of 28 degrees API.

BP announced its Scrip Dividend Programme
The British Petroleum board communicated on October 25th, 2011 that the interim dividend for the third quarter 2011 will account for US 0.07 dollars per ordinary share and US 0.42 dollars per ADS. This is to be paid on December 19th, 2011 in cash sterling to owners of ordinary shares and in US dollars to owners of ADSs.

Recently, Azerbaijan and Turkey consented to use the spare capacities in the Turkish pipelines as to transport Azerbaijani gas verso Europe, and consequently to construct a new pipeline across Turkey as to transport exceeded volumes of the spare capacities in Turkey’s pipelines.

Huge oil discovery made by Spanish Repsol
The largest Spanish oil company Repsol YPF SA, announced recently that its Argentine YPF SA unit has made the biggest company’s discovery of about 927 million barrels equivalent of shale oil after drilling a dry hole off at the disputed Falkland Islands earlier current year. The shale is located in the northern Patagonia, at the Loma La Lata.
