Daily (20.04.2022): Oil prices fell by over 5% on Tuesday after IMF cuts growth outlook
Oil prices fell sharply on Tuesday on demand concerns after the International Monetary Fund (IMF) cut its economic growth forecasts and warned of higher inflation. Hence, Brent crude dropped by $5.91, or 5.2%, to settle at $107.25 a barrel. U.S. WTI crude dropped $5.65, or 5.2%, to settle at $102.56 a barrel.

Denmark to boost green energy, North Sea gas production to quit Russian supply
Denmark's government on Tuesday said it aimed to significantly boost renewable energy supply and temporarily increase production of natural gas from its fields in the North Sea, in a move to rapidly become independent of Russian supplies.

EDF finds indications of possible corrosion on 4 reactors
EDF has said it found indications of possible stress corrosion on the auxiliary circuits of four French nuclear power reactors totalling 4.8 GW in capacity, namely Chinon 3, Cattenom 3, Flamanville 2 and Golfech 1.

Rolls-Royce expecting UK approval for mini nuclear reactor by mid-2024
A Rolls-Royce design for a small modular nuclear reactor (SMR) will likely receive UK regulatory approval by mid-2024 and be able to produce grid power by 2029, Paul Stein, chairman of Rolls-Royce Small Modular Reactors, told Reuters.

Oil prices climbed on Monday amid an oil field shutdown in Libya, increasing concerns over tight global supply amid the Ukraine crisis. Hence, Brent crude rose by $1.46, or 1.3%, to settle at $113.16 a barrel. U.S WTI crude rose $1.26, or 1.2%, to settle at $108.21 a barrel.
