Crude oil prices rose on Thursday as the prospect of Germany joining other European Union member states in imposing a Russian oil embargo grew, exacerbating concerns about tight supplies in the already dearth global crude market. Hence, Brent crude increased by 2.2% to settle at $107.59 a barrel. U.S. WTI crude soared by 3.3% to end at $105.36 a barrel.
