Daily (28.06.2022): European forward electricity prices rose on Monday amid ongoing supply squeeze fears

Crude oil prices extended gains on Monday as a worsening political crisis in Libya could result in halting exports, exacerbating supply tightness concerns. Hence, Brent crude futures increased by $1.97, or 1.7%, to settle at $115.09 a barrel. U.S. WTI crude added $1.95, or 1.8%, to end at $109.57 a barrel.

Oil prices increased on Friday due to limited supply but fell for the second consecutive week due to worries that increasing interest rates could cause a global recession. Brent crude rose by 2.8% to settle at $113.12 a barrel. WTI brute increased by 3.2% to $107.62 per barrel.
