Dutch expect to sustain gas exports to Germany if Russia cuts flows
The Netherlands expects to be able to sustain its supply of natural gas to Germany in the coming winter even if Russia cuts off all its supply to Europe, gas transport company GTS said on Thursday.

Oil prices increased slightly on Wednesday even after U.S. oil stocks increased and after U.S. inflation data strengthened the argument for yet another significant Federal Reserve interest rate increase. Thus, Brent crude ended rather flat at $99.57 a barrel, while WTI crude rose by 0.5% to $96.30 per barrel.

EU parliament votes to up renewables, energy efficiency
The European Parliament's energy committee today voted to increase the share of renewables in the bloc's energy mix to a 45pc target and to increase energy savings, reducing usage by at least 40pc in final energy consumption, both by 2030.
