Bosnia approves 103 mln euro EIB loan for Poklecani wind farm

Bosnia and Herzegovina's Council of Ministers said it has approved a 103.05 million euro ($108.7 million) loan from the European Investment Bank (EIB), to be used to finance the construction of the Poklecani wind farm.
The repayment period of the loan will be 25 years, including a five-year grace period, Bosnia's Council of Ministers said in a statement on Friday.
The funds will be allocated to the Federation. The wind farm project is implemented by state-owned power utility Elektroprivreda HZHB.
The Poklecani wind farm, planned to be built near Rakitno, in the southern part of the country, will comprise 20 wind turbines with a combined installed capacity of 132 MW. Its expected annual electricity production is 436.96 GWh.
The Federation is one of two autonomous entities that form Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other entity is the Serb Republic.
