Eurus, Toyota Tsusho connects a plug-in battery at a wind farm in the Netherlands.

Eurus Energy Holdings Corp, a Japanese wind project developer, recently announced the launch of a 1-MW/2.5-MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) in the Netherlands.
The Ariette Battery Energy Storage System, as it is called, was developed in collaboration with Eurus Energy Europe BV and Toyota Tsusho Europe SA.
This containerized BESS is situated alongside Eurus' 38.7-MW Windpark Mondriaan in Groningen province. The Japanese company anticipates that utilizing the same grid connection with Mondriaan will help stabilize energy fluctuations in the grid and promote greater adoption of renewable energy production.
The battery was supplied by the German firm Freqcon, while Dutch companies Alsema and Koninklijke Sjouke Dijkstra acted as contractors. Local company Scholt is responsible for energy trading.
