Axpo signs a 10-year power purchase agreement with Croatia's Klimaoprema.

Axpo, a power producer and trader based in Switzerland, announced on Thursday that it has entered into a ten-year corporate power purchase agreement (cPPA) with Klimaoprema, a Croatian manufacturer of cleanroom systems, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment.

The agreement entails the supply of approximately 17.5 gigawatt hours (GWh) of green electricity, which will fulfill the energy needs of Klimaoprema's production facilities located in Nova Gradiska and Samobor, as stated by Axpo in a press release. This quantity of energy is sufficient to supply the yearly consumption of 700 households across Croatia.

According to Axpo, "This agreement reinforces Axpo's leadership in long-term energy solutions in central and southeastern Europe."

Klimaoprema is part of Croatia's Amelicor Group, which also includes Amelicor Engineering, KOER, and the German microelectronics firm MCRT. The group is active in various sectors including pharmaceuticals, medical, microelectronics, construction, and energy, and has subsidiaries in Switzerland and Germany, boasting a strong track record in Swiss pharmaceutical initiatives.
