Erova Energy signs a Corporate Power Purchase Agreement with CareyGlass in Ireland.


Erova Energy has entered into a corporate Power Purchase Agreement with the Irish company CareyGlass to deliver renewable electricity from the Curraghgraigue Wind Farm.

According to the agreement, Erova Energy will supply CareyGlass with renewable electricity generated by the project located near Nenagh.

Baden Powell, managing director of Curraghgraigue Wind Farm, stated: "By providing clean, renewable wind energy to the major energy consumer CareyGlass, we are not only helping to lower greenhouse gas emissions but also supporting businesses in their efforts towards more efficient and responsible energy consumption.

"This is a 30-year commitment to producing green electricity. It is incredibly fulfilling to see it being used so close to its origin, showcasing the real benefits of our dedication and innovation."

Danny Mills, head of Erova Supply, also expressed his support for the agreement.

He remarked: "This collaboration illustrates how large corporate entities can take proactive steps to decarbonize their operations while ensuring price stability.

"We are pleased to assist CareyGlass in their sustainability endeavors and contribute to Ireland’s renewable energy future."

CareyGlass received support from Exemplar Energy in Cork during the PPA process.

Sinead Gleeson, financial controller at CareyGlass, commented: "By signing our second corporate Power Purchase Agreement for renewable energy, we are ensuring that we are actively participating in emission reduction by securing another source of renewable electricity, which helps us meet our sustainability objectives."
