Aukera acquires a 20-MW solar-storage project in Germany.

In December, Aukera Energy, a renewables investor and developer based in Belgium, announced that it has acquired a ready-to-build (RTB) solar project in Germany, which will feature a capacity of 20 MWp and will be integrated with a battery energy storage system (BESS).

This ground-mounted solar project, situated in Bavaria, marks the company's third acquisition in Germany for 2024.

In September, Aukera revealed its purchase of a 46-MW solar project, which is paired with a BESS of 40 MW, located in the southwest German state of Rhineland-Palatinate. Earlier last year, the company also secured an agreement for a 50-MW solar project in Lower Saxony, which was then in an advanced development stage.

Aukera, headquartered in Brussels, specializes in solar, wind, and battery storage initiatives, and operates offices in the UK, Italy, Romania, Germany, and Belgium.

In December, the company was recognized as one of the winners in Romania’s inaugural contract-for-difference (CfD) auction, receiving an allocation of 49.5 MW of onshore wind capacity.
