Vestas secures a 224MW contract in Sweden.

Vestas has secured an order for 224MW of Enventus turbines from Vinliden Vindkraft for two wind projects in Sweden.

The turbines are designated for the 70MW Vinliden project and the 154MW Fjallberg project, both of which are joint ventures of funds managed by Prime Capital and Polhem Infra, a renewables and infrastructure investor in the Nordic region.

This order includes the supply, delivery, and commissioning of 35 V162-6.4MW wind turbines, with 24 units allocated for Fjallberg and 11 units for Vinliden. All turbines will feature Vestas' anti-icing technology.

Turbine delivery is projected to commence in the second quarter of 2026, with commissioning expected to be completed by the fourth quarter of 2026.

The two projects are situated in Vasterbotten county in northern Sweden, an area that has been a hub for the renewable energy sector for decades, attracting several new companies interested in launching energy projects.

Vestas has also established a long-term service agreement aimed at ensuring the optimized performance of the assets, backed by local service technicians 'for decades to come.'

'We are excited and appreciative of the trust that Prime Capital and Polhem Infra have placed in Vestas and our EnVentus platform.'

'We look forward to collaborating closely in the coming years,' stated Anna Schlasberg Wachtmeister, vice president of sales for North West at Vestas.

'Despite facing some challenges in Sweden's green transition, investments like this reflect the ongoing demand for clean and cost-effective energy and demonstrate a commitment to advancing forward even in tough times.'
