Eni Italian workers face a strike over plants closure

British government gives the go-ahead to a new round of shale gas exploration

The British government unveiled it was opening up the bidding process for shale gas exploration in the country under the so-called "14th onshore licensing round". Alongside shale gas exploration, the bidding process will cover exploration and development of tight gas, coalbed methane and mine vent gas.
