E.ON to boost electricity prices by nine per cent from February

E.ON Energy group is set to raise the price of electricity to residential customers in UK by 9 per cent. The increase of price will take place starting February, 4th when the firm intends to raise the gas prices by 3 percent.

Crude oil futures registered a price growth on Monday on supply concerns following a halt of a main national crude output pipeline, Trans Alaska Pipeline, and supported by higher heating oil demand due to colder temperatures forecast. Hence, crude for February delivery, on the New York Mercantile Exchange, added 1.22 dollars to 89.25 dollars a barrel.

U.S crude for February shed 33 cents at 89.95 dollars a barrel by 12:05 GMT, while oil prices stayed at 90 dollars a barrel on Thursday. ICE Brent for February added 3 cent at 95.53 dollars per barrel, U.S. heating oil futures stayed at 2.5392 dollars, while gasoline rose 18 percent to 2.4496 dollars.
