Equinor plans to invest $1.3 billion in Hammerfest LNG upgrade and electrification

Norwegian energy player Equinor and its partners in the Snøhvit project have revealed plans to invest NOK 13.2 billion (around $1.3 billion) in upgrading the Hammerfest LNG (HLNG) plant at Melkøya with onshore gas compression and electrification.

Dutch VTTI to auction LNG capacity rights in early 2023

Daily (05.12.2022): NBP spot settled down on Friday amid forecasts for strong LNG arrivals

A bearish trend was seen in crude oil prices on Friday ahead of a meeting of the OPEC+ on Sunday and an EU ban on Russian crude on Monday. Thus, Brent crude decreased by 1.5% to settle at $85.57 a barrel. WTI crude ended around 5% lower at $79.98 a barrel.

Austria, Croatia, Bavaria team up for Adriatic LNG project

In a bid to reduce dependence on Russian gas, Austria, Croatia and the German region of Bavaria announced an energy-political partnership during a visit by Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehammer and Bavarian Minister-President Markus Söder to Croatia’s liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal in the northern Adriatic.
