Fluxys is considering taking a stake in TAP project

According to managing director at Fluxys, Walter Peeraer, the Belgian gas network operator is considering taking a share in the Trans Adriatic Pipeline Project. Fluxys may take part to the project if the Shah Deniz consortium decides whether it will carry gas to Italy (TAP) or to Austria (Nabucco WEST). In the case where TAP is selected, it is expected that Fluxys could join the project by August.

Statoil signed a 15-year contract with Stadtwerke Düsseldorf

Norwegian oil group Statoil intends to provide Germany's Stadtwerke Duesseldorf with gas for 15 years for a planned 600 MW gas-fired power plant. The new combined cycle gas turbine (CCGT) plant will be erected at the site of Stadtwerke Dusseldorf's existing power plant in Lausward, Duesseldorf .

Gazprom remains out of Greece

Gazprom has decided to stay out of the privatization process for Greek state gas operator DEPA for fear that its finances would worsen before the deal closed. Gazprom’s spokesman Sergei Kupriyanov said that they didn’t receive enough guarantees.
